Restaurants in Paramus, New Jersey
While Paramus is most famous as a shopping mecca, there is also plenty to do for those who favor the outdoors over the mall. The Saddle River County Park features a long bike path that extends from Ridgewood to Rochelle Park. Van Saun County Park, which is good for hiking, also contains a large zoo. When it is time to eat, you shouldn't have trouble finding something to whet your appetite. Whether you're looking for fast-food or fine dining, Paramus has a little bit of everything.

The Fireplace Restaurant

The Fireplace Restaurant was opened by a former FBI agent in 1956, and has since become a staple for locals and those who often find themselves traveling on Route 17. It specializes in traditional American staples such as burgers and sandwiches. The menu is very meat-heavy, with very little to offer vegetarians besides a vegetarian omelet or tossed salad. The burgers here are top notch, the atmosphere is friendly and super casual, and there is even a menu for kids.
