Unique New York City Restaurants

Unique New York City Restaurants
New York is one of the most highly visited cities in the world. Tourists flock here to see such famous sites as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. But visitors may not know that there are many hidden gems with opportunities for outdoor recreation. Clay Pit Ponds State Park Preserve on Staten Island offers 260 pristine acres with wetlands, ponds, sand barrens and woodlands. Governors Island, located in New York Harbor, is accessible only by ferry and includes three historic forts, car-free biking and large picnic areas. New York also offers many unique dining options.

Ninja New York

Open seven nights a week for dinner, Ninja New York lets you dine in a setting that depicts a ninja castle from feudal times. Rooms are laid out in a maze formation, with ninja equipment around every corner. The upscale, casual atmosphere offers an unusual but enjoyable dining atmosphere. The à la carte menu has Japanese soups, salads and main courses. Try seasonal greens with kombu dashi or ninja miso soup. For an entree, consider the pork toban with assorted vegetables or ancient short rib with Asian-spiced barbecue sauce. Sushi and sashimi are offered as well, and various cocktails and sake are available.
