In 2009, Vigilucci's expanded their service to include breakfast on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring selections such as veggie frittata, shrimp omelet and eggs benedict, all served with roasted red potatoes and fresh fruit at extremely reasonable prices. Tuscany in Carlsbad is part of the Tomaso's chain of authentic Italian eateries. This is not a come-as-you-are establishment, so you will want to clean up after a day on the trail and dress in your best business "upscale casual, evening attire or resort casual" clothing. Offerings include exquisite temptations such as king prawns in macadamia and herb crust and Cabernet braised beef short ribs. Prices are what you would expect from an upscale Italian restaurant.
Tuscany serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner daily from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuscany's has two Happy Hours: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.
