Thai Food Restaurants in Albuquerque

Thai Food Restaurants in Albuquerque
Albuquerque, New Mexico, is surrounded by beautiful outdoors - desert to the south, mountains to the east and west, and even forests to the north. Whether your preferred outdoor activity is hiking, biking, skiing or any other range of extreme and extremely fun options, Albuquerque has something to offer. And after a full day of exertion, well, Albuquerque has some great food options to offer, including some outstanding Thai restaurants.

Orchid Thai Cusine

Orchid Thai Cusine, located on the heart of Albuquerque along the historic old route 66, prizes itself on serving authentic Thai cuisine. A "Best of the City 2007" selection in Albuquerque magazine, Orchid Thai Cusine was also voted to have the "Best Curry" in 2006 by the Albuquerque alternative-weekly the Alibi. According the the Alibi, the pineapple curry (with chicken or tofu, your pick) would be the blue ribbon winner - however the red massaman curry would probably come in a close second. The Thai ice tea is also a local favorite and nice addition to most meals.

Bangkok Asian Fusion

Bangkok Asian Fusion is also located in central Albuquerque. The atmosphere is more quaint than Orchid Thai Cusine - although the name wouldn't suggest it. However, the food is delightful, and although it may not be as "fusion" oriented as the proprietors may have you believe, the extensive menu is full of good options, ranging from standard curries, noodles and soups to the more exotic sushi, salads and desserts. The dim sum menu - available Saturday and Sunday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. only - is an unexpectedly tasty and affordable option. And the Bangkok Specials - which include Thai Spicy Sausage and Beef Jerkey Thai Style, among others - are where the true fusion comes into play and your taste buds should really get excited.

Besides the quality of the food and modern ambiance of the restaurant, Asian Noodle Bar is nice because it serves a diverse range of Asian food, the specialties of which include: fresh spring rolls, Japanese Udon, Vietnamese Pho, Pad Thai and Asian Chop. The Asian Noodle Bar also delivers across the downtown Albuquerque area, in case you can't make it out.
