Upper Manhattan refers to the New York City borough of Manhattan, commonly referred to as the section of Manhattan above 96th Street to 125th Street. Upper Manhattan neighborhoods include Inwood, Marble Hill, Washington Heights, Upper West Side and Harlem, known to New Yorkers as Uptown.

Mount Morris Park is among the oldest parks in Upper Manhattan, with elegant brownstones. The Acropolis, an observation area in the park, is 70 feet above the street, giving you views of the Empire State Building and Yankee Stadium. Harlem is home to the largest church in America, St. John the Divine.

The Sherry-Netherland

The Sherry-Netherland is a 50-room upscale boutique hotel. There are 30 large guest rooms and 20 spacious suites. From your room you can view 59th Street or Central Park. The Plaza Athenee has 112 upscale rooms and 30 suites (eight with dining rooms and/or indoor atriums and outdoor balconies). All rooms include cable TV, mini-bar, microwave and refrigerator (on request), twice-daily maid service, complimentary use of business center and complimentary Internet access in the Bar Seine.

Dining choices include Arabelle, an on-site French-American restaurant with large glass windows and brass chandeliers. Bar Seine is an on-site upscale lounge with emphasis on romance.

The Carlyle has 188 rooms and suites amid the hotel's 60 residential apartments. All rooms are individually decorated with wood floors and extensive artwork. Rooms include complimentary Internet access, flat-screen televisions, mini-bars and marble bathrooms.

Dining choices include The Carlyle Restaurant, a French-American cuisine upscale restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cafe Carlyle supper club serves dinner with first-class shows nightly. Bemelmans Bar, an on-site piano bar, serves lunch, afternoon tea and evening drinks with entertainment daily. The Gallery serves continental breakfast and afternoon tea daily.
