Thai Restaurants in North Wales, Pennsylvania

North Wales, a borough of Montgomery County in Pennsylvania, is located approximately 30 minutes north of Philadelphia. The town contains a variety of parks and nature trails, including Windlestrae Park, a municipal park featuring 170 acres of land, baseball fields, soccer fields, a community garden, hiking trails and horseback trails. Although North Wales does not contain any Thai restaurants, the towns bordering North Wales offer a wide variety of authentic Thai restaurants, all just a short driving distance from downtown North wales. Travelers or hikers can visit Nadia Thai-French Cuisine, a restaurant located in downtown Lansdale, just three miles north of North Wales. In addition to lunch and dinner specials, Nadia Thai-French Cuisine also features an impressive vegetarian menu and caters to private parties.

The atmosphere is intimate, with dim lighting and soft music. Specialties include homemade mushroom soup, and red and green curry. The restaurant is BYOB, and is located across the street from the Lansdale Septa train station.

Thai Orchids

Another Thai restaurant located near North Wales is Thai Orchids, located just four miles south of North Wales in neighboring Blue Bell. Thai Orchids features authentic Thai cuisine at reasonable prices. The restaurant is open seven days a week and features lunch and dinner specials. In addition to a special vegetarian menu, Thai Orchids also features a variety of chef's specialties, including royal Thai-inspired crab cakes, steamed shrimp-stuffed chicken breast in orange sauce and grilled salmon wrapped in grape leaves. Thai Orchid has won several notable awards, including awards in excellence from Zagat in 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004.

Pho Thai Nam

A final choice for hikers seeking to replenish after a long day is Pho Thai Nam, also located in Blue Bell. Pho Thai Nam features authentic Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, and specializes in Pho soup, a beef noodle soup popular in Vietnamese culture. Other entrees include vermicelli dishes, rice platters, stir-fried dishes and sauteed meat dishes. Pho Thai Nam offers lunch and dinner specials six days a week, and is closed on Mondays. Entrees are moderately priced, and waitstaff is friendly and attentive.
