Wells, in Somerset, is a small town close to the Mendip Hills, Bath and Stonehenge as well as to Somerset beaches. Climbers, hikers and cave divers will enjoy the Mendip Hills. Monarch's Way, one of Britain's long-distance paths stretching more than 600 miles, is nearby and is popular with hikers, walkers and cyclists. National Cycle Route 3 also runs through Wells. Wells itself has historic churches, a cathedral, quaint shops, local cafes and typical British pubs.

The Crown at Wells

The Crown at Wells is situated in the center of the town in what was once a 15th century coaching inn. Close to Wells Cathedral, the hotel is in proximity to the town's historic attractions, theater, cafes, shops and restaurants. The hotel's 15 guest rooms are decorated in traditional English design, but still have all the modern conveniences. Each bedroom has en suite bath, TV, beverage-making tray and radio. You can book just accommodation, bed and breakfast, or dinner, bed and breakfast. A full English breakfast is served in the hotel dining room restaurant. There's also a small bar, where you can get snacks, light meals and drinks throughout the day. The Crown at Wells is pet-friendly, with dogs allowed for a small daily fee.
