Oxford is located about 30 miles north of Cincinnati, Ohio, and is famous for being the home of Miami University, once described by Robert Frost as one of the most beautiful campuses ever. Surrounded by rolling hills, woods, rivers and nature trails, Oxford is a perfect destination for an outdoor enthusiast. Hikers, bikers and boaters will love Houston Woods State Park with its trails and large lake. Go mountain biking in Peffer Woods, whitewater rafting on the Miami River or visit the Bachelor Wildlife and Game Reserve to see the hundreds of varieties of native plants and area wildlife. Oxford also has many cafes, bars, restaurants, and pubs as well as bookstores, music stores and craft shops. Luckily, the town has several hotel options if you'd like to stay overnight or longer.

The Miami Inn in Oxford, Ohio, is located right on the campus of Miami University in a beautiful red-brick building reminiscent of Ivy League halls. The Elms - Holiday Inn

The Elms Hotel, now owned by Holiday Inn and the Intercontinental Group, is the only hotel in Oxford that's in the main town center. The Elms boasts 60 guest rooms all with en suite bath, TV, free local calls, free Wi-Fi internet, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and free parking. The hotel has three restaurants serving everything from snacks to fine cuisine, with over 20 other restaurants within two blocks. Miami University campus is less than five minutes walk from The Elms and Houston Woods, with its boating lake and trails, only 20 minutes away.

Baymont Inn and Suites

Baymont Inn and Suites is located on the outskirts of Oxford near Oxford Country Club. A recently built hotel, Baymont Inn's guest rooms boast en suite bath, TV with cable, coffee making facilities, iron, hairdryer, and in-room wireless internet. A continental breakfast is included in the rate. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a whirlpool and a gym. Area hiking and biking trails are close by, and the Ohio River less than 30 minutes away for boating, kayaking and canoeing.
