The township of Cranford, N.J., is a place where you can participate in various outdoor activities. Cranford has numerous parks including Cane's Park and Adams Park where you play outdoor sports, take a walk, jog, or have a picnic. You can also go canoeing in Hanson Park, home of the Cranford Canoe Club. Many small business such as flower shops, barber shops and restaurants are also located in Cranford.

Il Gabbiano is a family-owned anrestaurant that served Italian cuisine using fresh, seasonal ingredients. For lunch and dinner, you can order dishes such as funghi portobello, sausage and chicken giambotta, vitello Parmigiana, rigatoni vodka and calamari fritti. The dessert menu consists of tiramisu, tartufo, chocolate souffle and creme brulee. Catering services are available and the restaurant can alter the menu according to your special taste or dietary restrictions. You can also bring your own wine. Operating hours are for lunch on Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for dinner on Monday to Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m and on Thursday to Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.

The Office Beer Bar and Grill

The Office Beer Bar and Grill is a restaurant and sports bar that offers casual dining and happy hours. Items on the lunch and dinner menus include certified Angus beef burger, crab-stuffed shrimp, strip steak, margherita pizza, garlic and lemon hummus, chicken BLT taco and southwestern spring rolls. Soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, wraps, burritos and desserts are also available. The restaurant offers party platters and Sunday brunch as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Happy Hour is from Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Free Wi-Fi is available. Hours of operation start Monday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m.; the kitchen closes at midnight. On Sunday, the kitchen closes at 11 p.m. The bar is open daily until 2 a.m.

Rustic Mill Diner is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. House specials include Italian entrees such as veal a la Milan, chicken a la Romana, beef, chicken and shrimp stir fry over rice, hot, open-faced sandwiches, honey-dipped fried chicken in a basket and kabob platters. Desserts include apple or peach crumb cake, rice pudding, chocolate pudding and ice cream. You can also order from daily lunch specials. A seniors' menu is also available.
