Motels in Redcliffe, Queensland
With 13 miles of pristine coastline and only 30 minutes from downtown Brisbane, Redcliffe is a favorite escape for city dwellers and outdoor enthusiasts. As the first European settlement in Queensland, the area has a rich cultural heritage and is known for its beautiful parks, sandy beaches and amazing seafood restaurants. While Redcliffe is a popular vacation spot in Moreton Bay, it does offer a number of affordable motels for visitors on a budget.

Waltzing Matilda Motel

With breathtaking views of Moreton Bay, the modestly priced Waltzing Matilda Motel is located on the renowned Redcliffe Peninsula and is within walking distance of the city's best attractions--including the Redcliffe Jetty. A popular fishing spot and the gateway to Moreton Bay, the Jetty offers tours to Moreton Island--where passengers are likely to catch a glimpse of Humpback whales, pods of dolphins and green turtles. Next door, listen to live music and wander through the aisles of arts and crafts, exotic imports and memorabilia at the Jetty Markets. While the rooms at the Waltzing Matilda are slightly outdated, the motel does offer an outdoor pool, barbecue area and a premiere bayside location, for only $80 AU a night, as of 2010.
