RV Parks in Morro Bay, California
Morro Bay, Calif., is on the coast in San Luis Obispo County. Morro Bay State Park, with beaches, hiking and wildlife watching, including the ubiquitous California sea lion, is nearby. Morro Rock, or "The Rock," as it is known locally, is a prominent feature of Morro Bay. The large rock sits in the water at the entrance to the bay.

Morro Dunes RV Park

Morro Dunes RV park is on the nine-mile Atascadero Beach with views of "The Rock." The 134 sites have full hookups, including 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. The park can accommodate all sizes of RV and there are pull-thru sites for RVs with slide-outs. On-site laundry room, convenience store, showers, private toilets and a group meeting room are available. Weekly rates during the off-season are available, and dogs are allowed for an additional $1.10 a day, as of December 2009. The Morro Dunes is within a 50-mile radius of several wineries and tours are available.

Morro Strand RV Park

The Morro Strand has 24 sites with hookups including water, sewer, 30- and 50-amp electric, cable TV and Wi-Fi. The park has a laundry room, shower, toilets, barbecue grills, fire rings and picnic tables. Pets are allowed, but owners are asked to clean up after them and have them refrain from barking. The Morro Strand has sites to accommodate RVs 40 feet and over. The downtown area is within walking distance, as is beach access.

Bay Pines RV Trailer Park

The park has 112 sites, an on-site laundry room, hot showers with private toilets and is the only RV park in Morro Bay to have a heated outdoor swimming pool and spa. There is a group barbecue station and pets are welcome. All sites include water, electric (30 and 50 amp), sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. The park is near an 18-hole golf course, the Museum of Natural History, surfing and sailing.
