The historic Oakwood Inn Town Motel is located in downtown Sanford. One of the interesting facts about the Oakwood is its connection to actress Katharine Hepburn. Room 120 is known as the Katharine Hepburn suite because the actress used the suite for two weeks each summer for many years. You can reserve room 120 for as little as $105 per night depending on the time of year.

Rates for regular rooms at the Oakwood start as low as $65 per night (as of 2009). At check-in, guests are given a brochure that lists local restaurants which provide discounted prices to Oakwood customers. To claim the discount simply display the brochure at the dining establishment.
