Shelburne Falls, located in the Berkshire foothills at the edge of the Mohawk Trail, is a small Massachusetts town known for its Bridge of Flowers and glacial potholes. Every year city residents spruce up the historic bridge with over 500 varieties of flowers, and from April through October the bridge's flowers are in full bloom. The area is rife with opportunities for road biking, mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming.

Oxbow Resort Motel

The "Oxbow" area is named after a unique bend in the Deerfield River, and this resort motel has a view of the river and easy access to the Mohawk Trail. An outdoor pool and golf course are located on-site, and the motel offers ski & stay packages in conjunction with the nearby Berkshire East Ski Resort. Most of the 25 rooms feature two double beds, although six of the rooms have a single queen or king-size bed. Rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV and private baths. The rooms share a porch area with plastic chairs so guests can sit outside in the shade and enjoy the grounds. All rooms in this casual country-style inn are non-smoking.

Red Rose Motel‎

This family-run motel is a quaint one-story building with white siding and red trim. A large lawn features a seasonal outdoor pool, and the motel overlooks the scenic Deerfield River. Rooms feature double beds, satellite TV and phone. At the motel you can play volleyball, have a cookout in the barbecue area, or play horseshoes. Swim or fish on the river or go hiking on the Mohawak Trail without having to drive anywhere. Weekly discounted rates are available.

Whitcomb Summit Motel Resort

Located in nearby Florida, MA, Whitcomb Summit Motel Resort is about a 30-minute drive from Shelburne Falls. Set atop a hill in the Berkshires, all rooms at the motel have a view. Guest rooms come with either a queen-size bed or a king-size bed, and two room suites and cabins are available. Pets are not allowed in the motel but are welcome in cabins for $10.57 extra per night as of 2009. Kids under 12 stay for free. Nightly rates include satellite TV and continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi is available in the motel lobby and tavern. On-site you will find a lookout tower for sweeping views of the area and an outdoor pool set in a wooded, grassy area.
