Outside of China, San Francisco's Chinatown is possibly the home of the best Chinese cuisine in the world. The largest Chinese enclave out side of Asia, the community is large and the choices for meals is practically limitless. From familiar dishes like lo mein and egg rolls to obscure presentations such as stinky tofu (Chou Dofu), thousand year old eggs or birds nest soup (made from bird saliva), you can it find in San Francisco's Chinatown. Hotels in this area cater mostly to tourists and businessmen.

An active hiker can enjoy walking the hills of San Francisco from Chinatown to Fisherman's Wharf. Each city block reveals the rich history of the city as well passing you through several ethnic neighborhoods.
