Canyon Lake, Texas, is a popular recreational area for boaters, campers and fishermen. Canyon Lake is known as the "Jewel of the Texas Hill Country" and the Guadalupe River area. White-tailed deer, foxes and road runners are among the wildlife in the Hill Country, known for its limestone rocks and live oak trees. Canyon Lake has 23 boat ramps and two marinas. It is 40 miles north of San Antonio.

Bunk Haus Park is a mile from Canyon Lake and offers fishing, boating, water skiing and swimming. The park has 45 full hookup sites, which feature 30- and 50-amp service, water, sewer and trash services. There are small cabins that sleep up to five people and have private parking for RVs and boats. They are available by the week.

Creek Hollow Cabins and RV Park

Creek Hollow offers 30- and 50-amp service, tent sites, pool, hot tubs, laundry facilities, restroom and shower facilities. The park is nestled in the Texas Hill Country, 10 miles from Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River. There are rental units available in addition to RV camping facilities.

Lazy L& L Campground

On the Guadalupe River, the campground has full hookups with 30- and 50-amp electrical service. Amenities include a camp store, restrooms, grills (in summer months), volleyball courts, horseshoe and washer pit games and an air station. Tubing down the river is a popular activity and equipment is available for rent.
