This Holiday Inn, formerly a Forum Hotel, was renovated in 2008, and is also located near the Gasteig station for the S-Bahn. Along with other amenities, it features an indoor swimming pool. A fitness centre with sauna, steam bath, solarium and masseur is available in the same building with a discount for hotel guests. Several jogging trails lead from the hotel along the Isar to the English Garden. Coffee and tea are complimentary, but wireless Internet is not. The hotel has 582 rooms and covered parking with 500 spaces.

Located in an elegant 19th century townhouse, this 36-room hotel near the Isar River offers a different experience than the big chain hotels. The lobby has a library, fireplace and cozy bar, and the rooms are outfitted with period furniture. The garden has a patio where breakfast is served in warm weather. While not as near to the Muffathalle, it's an easy walk through the English Garden or a short cab ride after a concert.
