Hotels in Edgartown, MA
Edgartown has been determined to maintain its reputation as the chic, wealthy town it became during the whaling industry boom in the 1830s and 1840s, and it has done a fine job. Martha's Vineyard, and in particular Edgartown, has long been associated with the affluent and well-to-do, but much of the town's charm comes from its splendid natural setting. Canoe or kayak on freshwater ponds and saltwater marshes, hike near red clay cliffs or spend the day bird watching at the Wasque Reservation.
