The Arizona Biltmore is considered the "Jewel of the Desert" and offers over-sized suites designed with the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright. Room amenities include one king or two queen beds, marble baths with double sinks, a patio or balcony with mountain or garden views, working desk, hairdryer and mini-bar. Upgraded level rooms and villas offer even more luxurious accommodations. Rates range from $230 per night for a classic room to $855 per night for a two bedroom villa suite, with rates varying somewhat based on the season. Features of the hotel include eight swimming pools, five restaurants, seven tennis courts and a full-service spa that offers massage, sauna, steam, whirlpool, body and facial treatments. The hotel's concierge can assist guests with babysitting service, travel arrangements, entertainment and dining recommendations, limousine service and many other activities. The Arizona Biltmore Country Club is adjacent to the hotel and provides two 18-hole golf courses. Area activities include hiking the trails of South Mountain or Camelback Mountain, or taking a tour of the desert by horse or hot-air balloon.

Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix is located in the heart of the city. It offers guest rooms with a choice of one king or two queen feather beds, granite or marble baths, stocked refreshment bar and terry bath robes. Suites feature a California King feather bed with down comforter, French doors that separate the sitting room from the bedroom, separate shower and tub, sofa, overstuffed chair with an ottoman and an extra half-bath. The upgraded Club Level offers Mountain or City views and exclusive access to the Club Lounge. Rates range from $400 per night for a room to $480 per night for Club Level. Rates will vary depending upon the time of year. The hotel features three dining options plus an outdoor patio and pool deck. Guests are given discounted rates to the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and there are six other golf clubs in the area. Some other nearby activities include hiking, biking, shopping and fishing.

Sanctuary

The Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa offers a variety of luxurious accommodations including mountain casitas, spa casitas, suites and private homes. Their mountain casitas are 500 sq. ft. and include a goose-down feather bed, soft-textured linens, in-room coffee and tea service, private bar, a separate tub and marble shower in some rooms. One and two bedroom suites feature a living and dining area with a kitchen alcove. Spa casitas are multi-level, with an over-sized tub and separate shower, patio and view of the courtyard. Spa casita suites include a living room with a lava-rock fireplace, wet bar, separate tub and shower, patio and outdoor soaking tub. Each of the private homes offer a variety of amenities that include as many as five bedrooms and five and a half baths, swimming pools, fireplaces, hot tubs, whirlpool spas, tennis courts, saunas and spectacular views. One of the homes features a separate guest house. Rates for casitas and suites range from $235 to $680 per night, depending on the time of year. Rates for the private homes are between $950 and $3500 per night, also depending on the time of year, and a two-night minimum is required. The resort features twelve indoor/outdoor spa treatment rooms, fitness classes and five championship tennis courts. Other nearby activities include hiking, shopping and golf.
