Hickory Hut
Ignore the "hole-in-the-wall" exterior and come inside to discover the delectable secret local residents have known for over 20 years. BBQ pork sandwiches, ribs and french fries are the favored specialties in this ultra-casual atmosphere. Tables are provided with paper towels instead of napkins and seating can be limited, so be sure to arrive early for lunch if you want to avoid a wait. No beer or wine, but sweet tea arrives in large take-out cups that the staff will happily refill for you before you leave.

Family-friendly (feel free to bring in a hamburger from the Golden Arches for the little one), with a relaxed atmosphere, House of China offers generous food portions large enough for sharing. Try the House Won Ton soup for starters, then pick out your favorite dish for a meal you are sure to enjoy. No alcohol, but servers are quick to fill refill drinks and are happy to accommodate special food requests.
