Intimate Toronto Restaurants

Intimate Toronto Restaurants
Toronto, Ontario, offers outdoor enthusiasts plenty of active pursuits. Team sports fanatics can play an ad hoc game of beach volleyball on one of the dozens of courts at Ashbridges Bay. Rollerbladers can cruise across the boardwalk in the same neighborhood. If the water beckons, take a sailing lesson, rent a sea kayak, or paddle along the shores of Lake Ontario in a canoe.

At the end of the day, pair up and enjoy a romantic dinner at one of Toronto's many fine restaurants.

The Rosebud

Couples walk under an antique sleigh to enter Rosebud, clarifying the restaurant's name. Once inside, the comfortable, cozy, 30-person dining room is the perfect place to escape busy Queen West for some intimate conversation. The menu offers a fusion of French and British cuisine, with black pudding fritters and wild board tourtiere served alongside brined and roasted quail. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Oro

Situated in the heart of downtown, Oro offers a fine dining experience in its sophisticated, candle-lit room. Cozy banquettes create an intimate space for couples, and the fireplace adds to the room's coziness. The menu offers contemporary Italian cuisine such as rabbit risotto with rosemary butter and sautéed rapini or braised veal cheeks with pan-seared Spaezle.

Auberge du Pommier

Located in an 1860s cottage uptown, Auberge du Pommier was designed for intimate dinners. The stucco covered walls and wood burning fireplaces are complimented by formal and attentive service, creating an almost magical combination. The menu includes items such as milk poached veal tenderloin with crispy fried sweetbreads or crispy seared tuna with tartare, served with pepper spiced pineapple.
