The city of Rochester has a number of parks, trails and a nature preserve. You can walk, jog or bike on the Paint Creek Trail or Clinton River Trail. You can also play softball in Halbach Field or play volleyball or softball, or go ice skating in the pond at Municipal Park during the winter. Rochester also has many places for shopping and dining.

C J Mahoney's

CJ Mahoney's is a sports bar with three projection screens, 14 plasma TVs, three other flat screen TVs, and seven booths with private screens. CJ's also features a full-service wrap-around bar. You can order appetizers from the Pre-Game Show menu such as Buffalo chicken tenders and spinach and artichoke dip. All-Star soups include chicken dumpling stew and New England clam chowder and Super Salads include Mahoney's chicken salad and taco salad. You can also order sandwiches, pizza, pasta, burgers, and a variety of entrees. A menu for children under 11 is available and alcoholic drinks are served. Every weekend, there's a DJ and dancing. You can dine indoors or outdoors and order for take-out. Student discounts are available as well as a catering menu with each item on the menu good for approximately 20 people. C J Mahoney's is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Rochester Chop House

The Rochester Chop House offers a wide range of premium steaks, chops, fresh seafood, and fine wines. Items on the menu include salads, soups and starters, sandwiches, and fish and seafood including golden fried Florida grouper and chop house crab cakes. You can also order poultry dishes and signature steaks including steak with Rochester zip sauce, or steak encrusted with Maytag bleu cheese, breadcrumbs and au jus. You can listen to live piano music during certain days of the week. The Kabin Kruser's Oyster Bar, which is located in the front of the Rochester Chop House, provides you with two restaurants under one roof. Rochester Chop House is open on Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday until 11 p.m., on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar has starters, salads, chicken wings, tenders, flatbreads, wraps, sandwiches, ribs and combos, burgers, desserts. You can also purchase the restaurant's 14 different kinds of sauces includingSweet BBQ, Parmesan Garlic, Asian Zing, and Caribbean Jerk. During Boneless Thursdays and Wings Tuesdays, you can order chicken wings at a special, low price. A Night Hunger menu is also available where you can order late-night specials including BBQ nachos, chicken queso dip and chicken taco flatbread. A kids' menu is also available. You can dine in or call for take-out orders.
