Benjarong Thai Restaurant
Benjarong, located in the Wintergreen Plaza on Rockville Pike, has been serving up Thai food in Rockville since 1993. In that time it has been named as one of Washingtonian magazine's best restaurants. Benjarong's menu offerings include specialties such as crispy duck with basil in chili sauce, Thai-spiced grilled lamb chops, and fried rice with shrimp, scallops, mussels and squid in a spicy chili garlic sauce. Green, red and yellow curry dishes are available in vegetarian, meat and seafood varieties. The menu also offers a selection of rice and noodle dishes and vegetarian dishes. Desserts include mango and sticky rice, fried bananas and taro custard.

Amina Thai
Amina Thai is the first Muslim Thai restaurant to open in the Washington DC area, and its food is Halal, i.e. prepared in accordance with Muslim dietary laws, meaning they do not serve pork or alcohol.
Chef's specials include a Nua Num Tok beef salad, a vegetarian Amina Thai tofu salad, fried soft shell crabs, and lamb in a mussumam curry sauce. Other vegetarian entrees include a veggie pad Thai and stir-fried spicy eggplant, while meat eaters may enjoy pad priao wan (chicken or beef sauteed with pineapple) or green or red curries. Dessert choices also include fried banana and sticky rice with mango as well as a selection of ice creams.

Thai Pavilion is an upscale Thai restaurant opened in Rockville's new Town Square. Thai Pavilion house specialties include sea bass with black pepper, shrimp and scallops in chili garlic sauce, and fried quail. Meat-free entrees include a vegetarian green tofu-eggplant curry, ginger-sauteed tofu and vegetables, and noodles cooked in a clay pot. You may choose pad Thai with beef, pork, chicken or shrimp, or try one of the many other noodle and rice dishes. Beverage selections include such specialties as a non-alcoholic cilantro lemonade and exotic cocktails such as the lychee martini. End your meal on a sweet note with coconut custard and sticky rice or caramel custard served with mandarin oranges.
