Restaurants Near Carolina Beach in North Carolina

Visitors to Carolina Beach, N.C., often spend time in Kure Beach and Wilmington. The Fort Fisher State Recreation Area in Kure Beach has a hiking trail and a stretch of undeveloped shoreline. Wilmington is just a brief drive north of Carolina Beach, and the River to Sea Bike Route begins in downtown Wilmington. Both Kure Beach and Wilmington have a good selection of restaurants.

Big Daddy's Restaurant

Big Daddy's Restaurant has been serving Kure Beach residents and visitors since 1978. Well-known for its seafood, Big Daddy's also offers an extensive salad bar, steaks and prime rib. There is even a gift shop and candy store on the premises. The restaurant can seat more than 400 patrons, and it has a banquet room available for private rental.

Freddie's Restaurante

Freddie's Restaurante, which opened in 1995 and is near the Kure Beach pier, offers Italian/American cuisine, and pork chops are a specialty. The menu includes grilled pork chops prepared several different ways. Another specialty is "Barb's Salad Dressing," and pints of the dressing can be purchased through its website.

Thai Spice

Thai Spice is in Monkey Junction, a section of Wilmington, N.C., that is between Carolina Beach and downtown Wilmington. The menu includes curry dishes served with steamed white rice and stir-fried noodle. You can specify how spicy you want your entree: mild, medium or hot. You can eat in or order your food for takeout. Thai Spice has a private dining area available for groups or parties.

Giorgio's Italian Restaurant

Also in Monkey Junction, Giorgio's Italian Restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, and there is a children's menu available. Dinner guests can choose from a wide variety of pasta dishes, and there are several entrees that feature seafood or veal. Dessert selections include the Italian classics tiramisu and cannoli. The lunch menu includes pizza, sandwiches and calzone.
