Recreational opportunities include boating at Point Defiance Marina, scuba diving at Titlow Beach and Park, and hiking at Tacoma Nature Center. Mt. Rainier National Park is 40 miles southeast of Tacoma and downhill skiing is available 70 miles to the east at Snoqualmie Pass or 90 miles southeast at White Pass.

Hunan Garden serves Mandarin and Szechuan styles of Chinese food in three Tacoma-area locations: Steilacoom Boulevard, Gig Harbor and Bonney Lake. House specials include chicken, beef and seafood dishes, and Peking duck and fresh whole fish are served seasonally. The Tacoma site of Hunan Garden is near Fort Steilacoom Park, about 5 miles west of Interstate 5, while the Gig Harbor location is accessible by crossing the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Bonney Lake is l18 miles east of Interstate 5 and Tacoma.

Happy Dragon Chinese Cuisine

Happy Dragon offers traditional Chinese fare from beef with broccoli to cashew chicken to Szechuan garlic prawns.
