Tacoma is the third largest city in Washington with a population of nearly 200,000 residents in 2009. Recreational opportunities include boating at Point Defiance Marina, scuba diving at Titlow Beach and Park, and hiking at Tacoma Nature Center. Mt. Rainier National Park is 40 miles southeast of Tacoma and downhill skiing is available 70 miles to the east at Snoqualmie Pass or 90 miles southeast at White Pass.

Indochine Asian Dining Lounge bills itself as "Tacoma's Premiere Asian Cuisine and Night Life Venue" and boasts an extensive wine list and food influenced by Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines. Indochine's menu includes soups, noodles, salads, wok entrees, curries and house specialties such as salmon and ahi tuna. Hunan Garden Restaurant

Hunan Garden serves Mandarin and Szechuan styles of Chinese food in three Tacoma-area locations: Steilacoom Boulevard, Gig Harbor and Bonney Lake. House specials include chicken, beef and seafood dishes, and Peking duck and fresh whole fish are served seasonally. The Tacoma site of Hunan Garden is near Fort Steilacoom Park, about 5 miles west of Interstate 5, while the Gig Harbor location is accessible by crossing the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Bonney Lake is l18 miles east of Interstate 5 and Tacoma.

Happy Dragon Chinese Cuisine

Happy Dragon offers traditional Chinese fare from beef with broccoli to cashew chicken to Szechuan garlic prawns. Lunch dishes are served weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Take-out orders are available. Located near the Fircrest area of Tacoma, Happy Dragon is close to the University of Puget Sound and China Lake Park.
