Evora, Portugal, has been a walled town since Roman times. Moorish in character, its brilliant white houses with openwork balconies and tiled patios line alleys intersected by archways. Occupying a building that dates back to the 16th century, the Pensao Policarpo Residencial was once a manor house in which the Counts of Lousa resided. The hotel's south-facing facade offers panoramic views of the the Alentejan plain. The hotel has 20 rooms that are small but comfortable; those on the upper floor are furnished with typical Alentejan furniture. The hotel, which is located in the center of the city, has a private parking lot. Breakfast is served on the terrace.

Albergaria Solar de Monfalim

This romantic Renaissance palace in the historic heart of Evora offers 26 guest rooms.
