Hotels in Fishkill, New York
Fishkill, New York is a quaint town built along the Hudson River. The activities offered here are low key, a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of New York City, about an hour and a half south of town. However, the transportation system affords you easy travel to NYC night life while you enjoy quiet days golfing, touring a museum that dates back to the Revolutionary War or just relaxing in one of the friendly hotels.

Hotel Sierra

The Hotel Sierra is a chain hotel without the chain hotel feel. Warm colors, comfortable, upscale furniture and a hospitable staff will make you feel right at home. The offer of Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions in each room is nothing new. What is a new experience for guests is that you can bring your iPod and set it in the alarm clock with docking station so that you are never without your favorite tunes as you kick back in your room. While most people dismiss free Continental breakfasts as boring and cheap, that is certainly not the case here. You'll be hard pressed to find another hotel that offers complimentary omelets, made to order. The Hotel Sierra is a class act all the way around.

Hilton Garden Inn

If you demand immaculate facilities, then the Hilton Garden Inn won't disappoint. Great attention is given to the care of this hotel so that guests can enjoy a pleasant, worry free stay. A light Continental breakfast is offered and, for $10.76 per person you can order a deluxe breakfast with your choice of omelet or French toast. There is no restaurant on site, but you can still order room service. The Hilton Garden Inn allows you to order food from the Italian, family style restaurant Lo Stavale that delivers. The typical wi/fi and flat screen television are offered with not so typical low prices that are a real plus for a hotel of this caliber in rough economic times.

Holiday Inn Express

It's no wonder that after sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express one wakes up with grandiose ideals that lead to practicing medicine or building rocket ships. Okay, so that's just the chain's marketing spoofs. However, this particular Holiday Inn Express is exceptional, to say the least. It is certainly not what one envisions at the first thought of this hotel name. (Remember those bright, flashing neon stars of their hotels of old...) The design and decor of this hotel is surprisingly modern and sleek. The staff lives up to the company reputation by providing friendly, smiling service.

The accommodations include Wi-Fi and the new trend of iPod docking stations built into the alarm clock. But, for a cheaper hotel, the surprises just keep coming, like heated mirrors in the bathroom so you don't have to wipe it with your towel or wait for the fog to clear after you step out of the shower. A 24 hour fitness center is available for your convenience and the rooms are larger and comfortable.
