Hotels Near Geneva, Ohio
Geneva, Ohio, is located about 50 miles east of Cleveland and 50 miles west of Erie, Pa. Ohio's first summer resort was made famous by the time spent there by Harvey Firestone, John D. Rockefeller and Henry Ford at the beginning of the 20th century. With Lake Erie as a backdrop, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking and camping were the draw then, and they continue to bring visitors to the North Coast.

North Wind Motel

The North Wind Motel is affordable, clean and unpretentious. It offers small rooms and daily service from housekeeping. In the summer months, coffee, doughnuts and cereal are provided free for guests on the busy weekends. Plenty of free parking, vending machines with both soft drinks and coffee are available on the property, as is a laundry room for guests. Just 100 feet from beautiful Lake Erie, you will feel the refreshing lake breezes day and night. The Geneva-on-the-Lake strip is well-known as a summer resort area in the tradition of those from early in the 20th century. A number of bars and restaurants operate only in the summer, with live entertainment and always a lot going on. Also close to the motel are a number of wineries, as Geneva is on the western edge of Ohio wine country. For those interested in golf, there are lots of good courses close by as well. The motel has king and queen rooms, while cottages with full kitchens also are available. It provides a playground and wireless Internet access, as well as allows small pets.
