Thai Restaurants in Westchester, California

Thai Restaurants in Westchester, California
Westchester is a small, mostly residential, community just a few minutes south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). With a population of approximately 41,500, you would not expect there to be many Thai food places around. Surprisingly, there are two within the city limits and another less than a mile away in Los Angeles.

Ayara Thai Cuisine

Ayara Thai Cuisine specializes in Thai home cooking. Diners can enjoy unique appetizers like Ayara's toast--ground pork and shrimp served on toast with sweet-and-sour cucumber sauce--or Muay Thai wings. Named for the famous boxing style, these chicken wings are marinated in Thai sauces and fried to perfection. Ayara Thai Cuisine makes a variety of Thai food from soups and noodles dishes to curry and special wok dishes. Its lunch combos, served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., include an entree and a salad.

The restaurant is known for its Thai comfort food. Appetizers include honey ribs with spicy sriracha sauce and Thai spring rolls. Entree-size salads and soups pair well with the wide variety of curry, noodle, rice and seafood dishes on the menu. The food at Thai Dishes Restaurant is available for carryout and delivery as well.

Thai Talay

Those looking for a more upscale Thai experience will enjoy the trendy ambiance of Thai Talay. Enjoy the sampler for starters, an appetizer that includes two chicken satay, two spring rolls, two golden shrimp and four dumplings. Continue your meal with one of its delicious soups or salads. The papaya salad is a house original, with fresh green papaya shredded over a salad of cherry tomatoes, cashews, green beans and its special house sauce. Vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful here. The California vegan curry includes a mixed variety of vegetables in its signature red curry sauce. Of course, the Thai classics are here as well as a few fusion favorites. Orange chicken, cashew chicken and Bangkok barbecued chicken highlight its entree menu. Be sure to save room for dessert. Savor traditional sweet sticky rice desserts or an American favorite, New York cheesecake. Reservations are recommended.
