Buenos Aires Grill
Argentineans know how to cook beef. That is evident at the Buenos Aires Grill, where tango dancing, steaks, empanadas and art deco give the restaurant an old-world Latin American feel. The parrillada, a mixed grill, comes with a grill to the table and is highly recommended, as is the cordeiro, a rack of lamb grilled with rosemary and garlic. The restaurant is located downtown and is open for dinner every night.

El Gaucho
El Gaucho has always been a special occasion restaurant, even if that occasion is just a craving for a great steak. The meat is top quality and includes the most common cuts. Steak El Gaucho, a top sirloin that comes with lobster, is recommended. Alternatives to beef include ostrich filets and thick venison chops. El Gaucho is also famous for setting food on fire, including shish kabobs and desserts. The Bananas Foster flambé should be tried. Reservations are recommended for this dinner restaurant in Belltown, where the elegance extends to women being escorted to the restroom.

Jak's Grill
In west Seattle, Jak's Grill exemplifies a casual, neighborhood steakhouse that focuses on quality and customer service. Diners can order items other than beef--the bourbon pork chop and the lobster mac 'n cheese are both worthy--but steaks are what Jak's does best, from New York strip and filet mignon to prime Delmonico. Potato pancakes as a side dish are a favorite here. The popular restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day and does not take reservations, so plan accordingly. There is often a wait.

Metropolitan Grill
The Metropolitan Grill, a Seattle institution known locally as "The Met," is a traditional restaurant located downtown that attracts politicians, professionals, tourists and everyone else who loves a good steak. The Chateaubriand is carved at the table, the Japanese wagyu filet is worth the hefty price, and you can choose your own sides and sauces. One of the best burgers in town is served in the bar. Lunch is served during the week, dinner is served every night, reservations are recommended and valet parking is available.
