Nubble Lighthouse
An active lighthouse, the Nubble Lighthouse stands more than 40 feet high. The conical structure and the keeper's house rest on the summit of Cape Neddick Bubble, a tiny offshore rocky islet that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse dates back to 1879 and is listed on the Register of Historic Places. The public is prohibited from the lighthouse, but it can be viewed clearly at nearby Sohier Park in York Beach.
