Las Vegas Hotels on Fremont Street

Las Vegas Hotels on Fremont Street
If you're planning a visit to Las Vegas, you might consider staying on Fremont Street in downtown. All of the hotels are packed closely together within a four-block section, making travel from place to place easier than on the Strip. Rates for rooms and food are generally more affordable on Fremont Street. Underneath a canopy, the street comes alive at night with the light-and-sound show known as the Fremont Street Experience.

Golden Nugget

This resort offers amenities found on the Strip at lower rates. The rooms are large, with comfortable king-sized beds and marble in the bathrooms. The pool, which surrounds a shark tank and includes a water slide through the middle of the aquarium, is among the best in the city.

The furnishings in the rooms are low end. The buffet offers is famous for its prime rib and is one of the better deals in Las Vegas.

Remodeled in recent years, the Four Queens provides greater value than before. The rooms are still relatively small and the bathrooms are virtually unchanged, but the furnishings have been improved. This includes plasma televisions and comfortable mattresses.

If you want to experience classic Las Vegas, this is the place to turn. The Golden Gate was among the first casinos in the city. Filled with a San Francisco theme, the resort has small and affordably priced rooms. Do not miss the piano bar.
