SunTiki Cottages are located on Gulf Boulevard at Canal Avenue and provide private one- or two-bedroom cottage rentals with outdoor showers, gas grills, and seating, and are fully equipped inside. There are just four cottages in this little complex, and three of them have outdoor spas for guest use also. Each cottage has central heat and air, a washer and dryer, and also beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for guests to use on the wide, sandy beach. The nearby 5th Ave. beach access means you are literally steps from the beach and the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. As of 2009, rates begin at $700 per week.

Blue Heron Florida Vacation Rental Cottages
Blue Heron offers two-bedroom beachfront cottages located on the Gulf, with each cottage being a freestanding "old Florida style" unit built in 1940 and restored in 1995. The fully furnished and fully equipped cottages surround a pool deck and heated pool that is just a short stroll down a lush, flower-lined path, and beautiful Indian Rocks Beach is just beyond the waterfront pool and deck. Amenities include air conditioning, DVD player, stereo, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, beach chairs, beach toys and beach towels. Blue Heron also allows pets at its cottages, so guests won't need to split up the family, as part of IRB is also dog-friendly. Weekly rental rates are $850 as of 2009. Exceptions can be made on time frames during the off season.

The Arbors Seaside Cottages
The Arbors Seaside Cottages are located in Indian Rocks Beach and feature one- or two-bedroom cottages with fully equipped kitchen in each cottage--including coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, spices and popcorn. The Arbors are located on deep (150 feet) Indian Rocks Beach, and have been part of the Superior Small Lodgings award program since 1999, with an annual independent inspection. The cottages have new furnishings, cable TV, local telephone service and free WiFi in each cottage. The grounds have six picnic areas, including one with beachfront grills, two gazebos for relaxation, and laundry facilities. There is also a book and video tape library for guest use, and free cribs, ice chest, bread maker, beach towels, and slow cooker to lend as needed. Shuffle board, basketball, volleyball and horse shoe equipment are all here, too. As of 2009, standard rates start at $999, with specials for select weeks at $850.
