Philadelphia has a large selection of Brazilian restaurants. Most are traditional Brazilian steakhouses that feature large salad bars or buffets, and meats are served by gauchos (cowboys). Gauchos continuously walk about the dining room, serving up cuts from a large meat selection. Many Brazilian restaurants also boast a large wine selection to accompany the menus heavy on meat.

Chima

The Chima Brazilian steakhouse is located in Philadelphia's Center City. The restaurant features complete rodizio (meat) dinners served by authentic gauchos (cowboys). The meat selection includes sirloin, leg of lamb, baby top sirloin, beef ribs, boneless chicken or chicken with bacon, filet mignon, flank steak, lamb chops, top sirloin, pork loin with parmesan, pork ribs, rib-eye, salmon, sausage and swordfish. Seven dessert choices plus a large salad bar with six salad varieties round out the Chima menu. Fine wines, beer and cocktails are served for dining and in the restaurant lounge.

Fogo de Chao

The Fogo de Chao Brazilian steakhouse in Center City features a gourmet salad bar with more than 30 items that includes fresh vegetables, Brazilian side dishes and meats and cheeses. Gaucho chefs provide table-side service and offer 15 different types of meats, including filet mignon, picanha (top sirloin), beef ancho (rib-eye), costela (beef ribs) and cordeiro (lamb). Every guest receives a card. Flipping the card to green signals gaucho chefs to begin serving the various meats. Flipping the card to red signals that no table-side service is currently needed. Fogo de Chao boasts a large wine selection as well as cocktails and beer that can be enjoyed with dinner or at the bar. The menu also features six dessert choices. Valet parking during dinner is available, while garage parking and limited meter parking are nearby. Children 5 years and under eat free, while children aged 6 to 10 are half-price.

Picanha Brazilian Grill

This north Philadelphia restaurant opened its door in 2007 and serves an all-you-can-eat buffet that features fish, steak, sirloin, pork and chicken sausage, bacon, brisket, pork ribs, lamb and chicken breasts, wings and legs. Grill men will also provide table service for the various cuts of meat. The buffet includes a salad bar, while desserts are available from a separate menu. Besides soda, Picanha also serves the popular Brazilian drink, Guarana. The restaurant has a party room for up to 400 people and provides catering services.
