For the outdoor sports enthusiast, Appleton, Minnesota, has something to offer all year long. In the warmer months, explore Appleton's extensive bike trails, nine-hole golf course at the Appleton Golf Club, or the newly renovated campground with canoe access to the Pomme de Terre River. When the ground is snow-covered, there are over 100 miles of snowmobile trails, sponsored by the Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, that connect to other trail systems. Appleton is also a very patriotic town and except for Minnesota Street, all of its roadways are named for local veterans who died in combat.
