Reston, Virginia is a small city located about 20 miles west of Washington D.C. Residents have access to its numerous parks and recreation areas, which include tennis courts, swimming pools, and nature centers. Visitors are welcome to use the many miles of nature trails, including the famous Washington & Old Dominion Trail (W&OD) which is very popular with bicyclists and walkers. Visitors should note there are only four hotels in Reston, as the community has resisted expansion in favor of preserving the natural features of the city.

The Hyatt Regency is a four diamond hotel located in Reston Town Center. Nestled within the premier shopping and dining center in the community, the hotel is also within walking distance to many area biking and hiking trails, and just a short drive from Reston National Golf Course. For air travelers, the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Dulles International Airport, which is located about 10 minutes west of the hotel. For those with car rentals, Reston offers many nearby outdoors attractions, including civil war battlefields and Great Falls National Park along the Potomac River. If you are open to taking a longer day trip from Reston, the natural caves of Shenandoah National Park are about 90 minutes west of Reston, and the historical museums of Washington D.C. are just a half hour drive from the hotel.

The Westin Reston Heights

One of Reston's newest hotels, the Westin Reston Heights is a resort hotel located nearby Reston National Golf Course and features a state-of-the-art heated swimming pool and workout facility, which also includes spa services. The hotel is located nearby area shopping and dining, but also close to the community nature and biking trails. While many hotels encourage energy conservation, the Westin Reston Heights also encourages a healthy lifestyle. Homestead Washington D.C. Reston

The Homestead Washington D.C. Reston, is part of the Homestead Suites chain of hotels, specializing in extended and long-term stays. The hotel offers in-suite amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, but does not offer many of the on-site amenities found at other area hotels. The hotel does offer access to an off-site workout facility, but fees may apply. Although the hotel does not offer many amenities within its property, the location within Reston allows guests to take advantage of all the area's walking and nature trails, outdoor activities, dining, shopping, and entertainment. The hotel is pet-friendly, meaning your dog can enjoy Reston's walking trails with you, as you take in the fresh air of Reston's outdoors.
