Pio Pio
Pio Pio is a New York City restaurant chain specializing in Peruvian cuisine. While the focus is on rotisserie chicken, the Upper West Side branch of the restaurant features an extended menu of delicious specialties from Peru. Try the Chupe de Camarones, a shrimp soup that comes with rice, green peas, Peruvian baby corn and batted eggs. Many of their menu items are also available to go.

Sarabeth's
While it is most famous as a breakfast joint, Sarabeth's also does awesome dinners. The menu consists largely of traditional American fare, such as Free Range Chicken Pot Pie and home made meat loaf. Be prepared, though---on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons, the place gets incredibly crowded, so you will likely have to wait for a table.

Carmine's
Carmine's has been going strong since 1990, and has become massively popular, especially with large groups. Expect to dine on traditional Italian American classics, such as Chicken Marsala and Angel Hair Pasta with Meatballs. Given the popularity of the restaurant, this is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. Service can be a bit slow, but the food is filling and definitely worth it.

Jean-Georges
Jean-Georges is a three-star Michelin-rated restaurant. Located right on Central Park West, it is one of the city's finest dining establishments. Budget-conscious visitors might wish to exercise caution; a meal for two at this exquisite French restaurant can easily cost $500. But for those who have money to spend, it is definitely worth it for the service alone, with such rarefied perks as being presented with a box of chocolates as a parting present. If you can't decide what to order, the lobster is exceptionally well done here.
