Zpizza has two Montgomery County locations, serving pizzas in both standard (cheese, pepperoni, sausage. etc) and specialty varieties. Popular zpizza creations include the Napoli (garlic sauce, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil and parmesan), the Thai (peanut sauce, mozzarella, spicy chicken, cilantro, red onions, carrots, bean sprouts and serrano chiles) and the Berkeley vegan (marinara sauce, vegan cheese, veggie burger crumbles, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, red onions and bell peppers). In addition to pizza, the menu also includes salads, sandwiches, pastas and "rusticas" which are basically free-form pizzas available in yet more creative combos including pear and gorgonzola and curried chicken with yam.

Ledo Pizza
Ledo Pizza has 11 different Montgomery County locations, all serving the distinctive little pizza squares. Ledo's pizzas come in personal, medium (one tray) and large (two tray) sizes, but they are particularly good for parties and for children because the individual squares of pizza only measure about three inches by three inches so you can eat as many (or as few) as you like. Toppings include all the usual suspects (pepperoni, sausage, etc.), plus a few more unusual items such as artichokes, broccoli florets and chorizo sausage. Specialty pizzas include one with chorizo sausage and barbecued chicken, another one with buffalo chicken and provolone, and a white pizza with spinach, chicken and fresh sliced tomatoes. Subs, strombolis, calzones, flatbread sandwiches, salads and pasta entrees round out the menu, and the Clarksville, Colesville, Rockville and Montgomery Village locations all offer a weekend brunch featuring an egg and cheese breakfast pizza.

Armand's Chicago Pizzeria
Armand's has been serving up Chicago-style deep dish pizza in the Washington DC area since 1975. Armand's offers thin crust, as well as deep dish pizzas, with a wide range of toppings including feta cheese, pesto sauce and Alfredo sauce. Mamma Lucia
Mamma Lucia's pizza is New York Style (thin crust, hand tossed), and is available with the standard array of toppings (sausage, meatballs, peppers, olives, etc.) which you can order in your choice of combination. You can also order a white pizza if you want something a little lighter (in color, at least), or a "Mamma's Special" white pizza with roasted red peppers, mushrooms and artichokes.
At Mamma Lucia's, pizza is only a small part of the menu. The Italian entrees make up the bulk of the menu, and include such items as mostaccioli alla arrabiata (penne in a spicy marinara sauce), pollo saltimboca (chicken breast topped with mozzarella and prosciutto in a white wine sauce) and the locally-inspired vitello Chesapeake (veal medallions topped with crabmeat and mozzarella cheese in a cream sauce). Each entree comes with a side salad and pasta. Desserts include cannoli, tiramisu and homemade New York-style cheesecake.

Flippin' Pizza
Flippin' Pizza has New York-style, hand-tossed pizza is available in one size (18", or extra large), and eight different varieties-four with red sauce, four with white. The red pizzas are the Brooklyn (pepperoni, meatballs, mushrooms and garlic), the Bronx (pepperoni, sausage, onions, black olives, green peppers, mushrooms and garlic), the Triboro (meatballs, sausage and pepperoni) and the vegetarian Artichoke (mozzarella, parmesan, artichoke hearts and fresh garlic); white pizzas include the Whitestone (ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh garlic and basil), the Four Cheeses (ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, gorgonzola, fresh basil and garlic), the Pesto (pesto and red peppers) and the Tomato Basil (fresh garlic, fresh basil, mozarella, parmesan and fresh tomatoes).
