Escondido RV Resort is located 37 minutes north of San Diego, just off Interstate 15. It is close to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, and any of San Diego North's 40 area golf courses. The resort has 125 concrete paved sites with 20-, 30- or 50-amp full hookups. It boasts large 48- to 72-foot sites capable of accommodating large RVs. It features restrooms and showers with granite counters and Italian tile, laundry facilities, cable TV, Wi-Fi Internet, a swimming pool and spa and pets are welcome. Hiking and biking trails are adjacent in Rod McLeod Park.

Located just 45 minutes from the San Diego Zoo and Sea World, Champagne Lakes RV Resort is nestled among a 50-acre wilderness paradise with three lakes and live California oaks and chaparral. All Seasons RV Park and Campground is located just 20 minutes from San Diego Wild Animal Park, 35 minutes from the San Diego Zoo and just five minutes from several golf courses. This park prides itself on providing a rustic camping experience. There are 150 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups measuring up to 60 feet to accommodate large RVs. With a five-acre lake, many sites are lakeside views and the park offers free catch-and-release fishing. There are restrooms with showers, three laundromats, cable TV, a pool with spa and a children's playground.

Dixon Lake Camping Area
Dixon Lake reservoir is owned and operated by the City of Escondido and is surrounded by 527 acres of protected parkland. There are three picnic areas and horseshoe pits. Paddleboats, rowboats and motorboats are available for rental, and fishing for bass, trout and catfish is popular. The campground has 40 sites with hookups, restrooms with showers, flush toilets and an amphitheater.
