Savannas Recreation Area

The Savannas Recreation Area is part of Savannas Preserve State Park aimed at protecting Florida's largest freshwater marsh. Covering 550 acres and five diverse biological communities, Savannas is a favorite destination for camping, boating and fishing. Overnight camping is permitted Oct. 1 through May 3 on 61 sites that range from primitive to full hookups with electricity, water and sewer. The campground features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, playground and a boat ramp.
