Myakka River State Park
Myakka River State Park is one of Florida's largest natural areas, with the Myakka River flowing through 57 square miles of diverse habitats. The park can accommodate big rigs and has 76 campsites with water. Most have 30-amp electric hookups. The park has restrooms with showers, a fishing dock, boat rental, boardwalk, hiking and biking trails and is pet-friendly in family camping areas. Tent sites and cabin rentals are also available.

Sun N Fun RV Resort
Sun N Fun RV Resort has 600 sites with 30- and 50-amp hookups. It is open all year and can accommodate big rigs. It features an Olympic-size pool, children's splash pool, two hot tubs, three laundromats, and restrooms with showers and an outdoor dog wash. The resort also provides Wi-Fi, cable TV, a car wash, poolside bar and grill, a full-service restaurant and two fenced dog runs.

Sarasota Sunny South RV Park has 17 sites with 30- and 50-amp hookups. This adult RV and mobile home park is open all year and has a minimum age restriction of 55. It can accommodate big rigs and features restrooms with showers, a pool, shuffleboard, cable TV and Wi-Fi. It is pet-friendly.

Turtle Beach Campground
Turtle Beach Campground is part of Sarasota County's Turtle Beach Park. The campground has 40 sites with 20-, 30- and 50-amp hookups. It is open year-round and reservations are required from November through April. It features direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and has restrooms, a playground, Wi-Fi, cable TV, a boat ramp and canoe/kayak launch area. The 14-acre park does not allow pets.
