The city of Crystal River is on Florida's Nature Coast, which is known for its natural environment. The cavernous spring in Kings Bay attracts divers, and visitors come to view the manatees that winter in the local waters. The area also is popular for fishing, as tarpon and redfish school along its shores. Crystal River is about an hour north of the Tampa Bay area.

At Lake Rousseau RV and Fishing Resort, live oaks and cypress trees provide a shady setting for the 195 full hookup sites on the south shore of Lake Rousseau, north of Crystal River. In addition to a number of social events, the resort provides amenities, including a bait and tackle shop, cable hookup, propane gas, canoe rental, pool, boat ramp and Wi-Fi.

On U.S. 19, south of Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Nature Coast Landings provides full-service hookup sites within easy driving distance of most area attractions, including Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park, Withlacoochee State Forest and Crystal River Historic Site. On-site amenities include Wi-Fi, recreation courts (badminton, volleyball and horseshoes), social activities, recreation hall, laundry and picnic areas.
