Breckenridge is located in Summit County, Colo. It is home to the world-class Breckenridge Ski Resort, which attracts snow sport enthusiasts from all parts of the globe. In the summer, the Breckenridge Golf Course draws golfers, who enjoy watching their golf balls travel astonishing distances in the thin mountain air. The entire town is a gigantic outdoor playground. Breckenridge resort hotels have expanded on Mother Nature's menu of activities.

Tiger Run RV Resort

The Tiger Run Resort is not your grandpa's RV campground. This upscale resort is only designed for self-contained recreational vehicles, which can be hooked up to the Tiger Run water and sewer system. The resort boasts a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse, which contains an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, game room, TV lounge and laundry facility. There's an outdoor volleyball court, a basketball court, two tennis courts and a children's playground. The Blue River borders the Tiger Run resort on the west boundary, and the Swan River runs right through the resort. These are perfect rivers for fishing.

The Beaver Run Resort

The Beaver Run Resort is located on Breckenridge Mountain, right next to the Peak 9 chairlift. Its rooms vary. Budget travelers can select a simple hotel room with tow beds, a bathroom and a coffeemaker. The one- and two-bedroom suites have full kitchens. There's a spa, an exercise room, tennis courts, a game arcade and a nine-course miniature golf course. Complimentary ski lockers are available. Spencer's, the resort restaurant, is located in the lobby. The restaurant was named after General Spencer, the prospector who founded the town of Breckenridge.

Marriott Mountain Lodge at Breckenridge

The Marriott Mountain Lodge is located in the Village of Breckenridge, near the lower base of Peak Nine. This is a viable choice for anyone traveling with beginner skiers or snowboarders, or with people who do not participate in on-slope activities. The resort is about a half-block from the beginner lofts, and about one block from the town. It has a spa, an exercise area and an in-house activity concierge, who conducts crafts activities, exercise classes and walking tours of the town.
