The Barking Dog Luncheonette

This diner caters to dogs as well as their owners. Situated just one block away from John Jay Park and right across the East River from Roosevelt Island's Ecological Park, the Barking Dog Luncheonette is a moderately priced outdoor dining experience for dogs and their owners. The interior, which is covered in images of dogs, features the restaurant's clever tag line of "Sit, Stay."

Dogs are the center of attention at Fetch. The walls are covered with pictures of their canine visitors. There are Sunday visits from the ASPCA's adoptable dogs, applications to adopt stray animals and an outdoor dining area for you and your pet. They are located four blocks from Central Park.

The Grey Dog's Coffee

For a relaxing change of pace after running your dog at the Hudson River Trust's Greenwich Village dog park, stop in to The Grey Dog just five blocks away. They offer coffee, organic and locally grown foods and gourmet snacks for people and dogs. The Grey Dog allows dogs outside, as well as inside with permission from the staff.
