The campground at Carolina Beach State Park has eighty-three campsites and is open every day except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The campsites have picnic tables and grills, but they do not have electrical or water hookups. There are hot shower facilities and restrooms nearby. You can explore several coastal ecosystems at this state park or stop by the Visitor's Center to learn about the park's five types of carnivorous plants. Head out to the Flytrap Trail to look for Venus flytraps and native orchids.

Originally a 1950s boarding house, this bed and breakfast is located just across the street from the beach. The main property, the Inn, has seven bedrooms. For travelers with young children or pets, there are three cottages available. The cottages are a three to four minute walk from the beach, and at least a two-night minimum stay is required.
