Cold beer and wholesome Italian food await you at the Mellow Mushroom. This Georgia-based franchise Italian pizza restaurant in Dunwoody has more than 100 locations. Its specialties are munchies, salads, pizzas, calzones, deli hoagies and grilled hoagies. You and your party can begin your meal with a stuffed portobello or other munchies. As the second course, everyone can build their own customized made-to-order salad (great for picky eaters). For the main course share several specialty pizzas and a pitcher of cold beer. Mellow Mushroom serves lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

Romano's Macaroni Grill

Romano's Macaroni Grill is an Italian chain restaurant in Dunwoody. It offers reasonably priced Italian food and a clean and festive dining room. Expect automated service from an overly friendly uniformed server, along with familiar Italian food, mildly seasoned to please the masses. A three-course meal from its menu might include tomato bruschetta, a warm spinach salad and mushroom ravioli. Most entrees are prices below $15. Drive only two miles from Dunwoody to dine at La Grotta Ravinia Ristorante in Atlanta. This family-owned restaurant prepares authentic Italian cuisine, drawing inspiration from old family recipes. A sample dinner from the a la carte menu might include Insalata Caprese, Zuppa del Giorno and Filetto di Manzo con Funghi.
