Madeira Beach is located between St. Petersburg and Clearwater and offers sandy beaches without a lot of the crowds that these other two tourist-heavy locations can encounter. John's Pass in Madeira Beach is a historic fishing village, with several popular seafood restaurants and shops. John's Pass also offers boat and parasailing rentals, as well as a marina. There are several accommodation options for visitors to Madeira Beach.

Barefoot Beach Hotel

Located right on the sandy beaches of the Gulf Coast, the Barefoot Beach Hotel & Resort is conveniently located 500 yards from John's Pass. Hotel rooms are one or two bedroom apartments and all have kitchenettes. Scooter rental are available at the hotel and there is a private, heated beachside pool for guest use.

Snug Harbor Inn

Snug Harbor Inn is located on the Boca Ciega Bay side of Madeira Beach, across the street from public sandy beaches. Each of the rooms are designed in a theatrical theme, based on plays in which the owners have performed. If you own a boat, the inn has a boat slip that can accommodate vessels up to 35 feet. Pet-services are available for people who come with feline or canine companions. Accommodations at the Inn include a heated pool, fishing from their private pier and a bayside tiki hut.

Shoreline Island Resort

This adults-only (21-year and older) hotel sits right on the Gulf of Mexico and offers regular hotel rooms, efficiencies with kitchenettes and one-bedroom apartments. There is a beachside, heated pool and free continental breakfast is served each morning. The hotel is close to John's Pass and several of the other activities available in the area.
