Mexican Food Restaurants in Litchfield Park, Arizona

Mexican Food Restaurants in Litchfield Park, Arizona
Litchfield Park is an upscale bedroom community located in the southwest corner of the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. Unlike the neighboring cities of Goodyear and Avondale, Litchfield Park has little in the way of restaurants and shopping, with the exception of the posh Wig Wam Resort, located in the town's center. You can easily find a Mexican restaurant to your liking, however, by taking a leisurely drive of ten minutes or less into one of the surrounding cities.

Macayo's Mexican Kitchen

If you are hungry for authentic Sonoran cuisine with fresh ingredients, look no further than Macayo's Mexican Kitchen in Goodyear. The first Macayo's opened in 1952, and the chain is now a staple of the Phoenix metro area culture. With chilies grown on its own farm, Macayo's prides itself on fresh, authentic Sonoran food rich in flavor. The restaurant's salsa, chimichangas and margaritas have been voted "best in Phoenix" repeatedly by the Phoenix New Times magazine. Enjoy a relaxing, modestly priced dinner inside with friends and family or hit the patio for an exciting happy hour that is always jumping.

On The Border

If "casual dining" Mexican food is more to your liking, then On The Border is the place for you. Located directly across Litchfield Road from Macayo's, On the Border features a more standard menu with tacos, burritos, nachos, fajitas and the like. Although On The Border is part of a national chain, its Goodyear location still has the same authentic Mexican flavor found in local mom-and-pop restaurants in the Phoenix metro area. The menu often features new specials as well as tried-and-true favorites.

Raul and Theresa's

Hidden away on MC85 in Avondale, south of the industrial district is a local favorite, Raul and Theresa's, featuring some of the hottest Mexican cuisine you will find in the area. Although this restaurant does not have the fancy façade and nicer dining facility you will find at Macayo's or On the Border, the food is on par with the aforementioned eateries. The shredded beef tacos and three alarm salsa characterize the menu and let you know what to expect from the other choices.

Ramiro's Mexican Food

Ramiro's is tucked away behind a grocery store south of the freeway in Goodyear. Although this is the only restaurant of the three with a drive-thru, don't let that scare you off, or you will miss out on some great Mexican food. If you want food in the Taco Bell price range with the same expediency but want a more authentic meal, Ramiro's is for you. Their friendly wait staff will fill your order quickly so you can get back to enjoying the sun and fun in Litchfield Park.
