Bird Viewing Preserve and Water Reclamation Facility
Avid bird watchers and nature enthusiast can visit the Bird Viewing Preserve, where you will find an array of indigenous birds and migratory waterfowl. Wind your way along the trails and enjoy viewing various species of birds in the Preserve's nine pond areas. The Preserve is open March through May from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., June through August from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., September through November from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and December through February from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests must arrive at least 30 minutes before close in order to gain admission.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (RRCNCA)
Red Rock Canyon is located 17 miles west of Las Vegas. According to Red Rock Canyon's website (redrockcanyonlv.org), this conservation area covers 197,000 acres of the Mojave Desert. Upon arriving, you can learn more about the Canyon by visiting the Visitors Center and Exhibit Area. From there, you can travel up the Scenic Drive and take in the beauty of the Canyon, or park the car at one of the parking areas to explore one of the many hiking trails. Information about hiking and biking trails can be obtained from the Visitor's Center or the Toll Booth upon arrival.

The Grand Canyon West
The Grand Canyon is the home of the Hualapai tribe and is one of the most phenomenal sights in the world. The Canyon's West Rim entrance is located about 120 miles east of Las Vegas.
