McHenry, Illinois Chinese Restaurants
McHenry is a small town in the northwest of Illinois. It has a population of just a little under 25,000. McHenry gets its name from William McHenry who gained notoriety for fighting Native Americans. The area has numerous lakes, bogs, and streams which are remnants from the Ice Age. With all these natural attractions, its easy to see why the outdoor minded visit here to get away from urban life.

The Plum Garden

The Plum Garden has been serving the people of McHenry since 1965. The food here is Cantonese with an American twist. Some of the favorites on the menu include the Crab Rangoon and the Cashew Celebration. They serve dinner as well as lunch. The interior is adorned with a flurry of reds and yellows and the atmosphere is peaceful. For those not interested in dining at the restaurant take-out is available.

China Town

The China Town is a family run establishment run by a couple from the Jian province of China. This restaurant has been giving the people of McHenry the best tastes of China since 1996. They combine Cantonese, Szechuan and Hunan styles of food preparation to provide you with a wide array of dishes. The kung pao chicken is one favorite as is the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The chefs have been working together for over ten years and have forged a menu that is both colorful and delicious.

The China House

The China house provides standard Chinese food with an angle towards making its tastes more attractive to Americans. They are known for providing expedient service and their staff has no problem going the extra mile for a customer. The prices here are moderate but the quality of the food more than makes up for that. The General Tso keeps people coming back along with the Spicy Mongolian Beef. They do take-out and delivery as well.
