Romantic Restaurants in Cincinnati

Romantic Restaurants in Cincinnati
There is a good chance that a lot of people have not considered Cincinnati for their next outdoor adventure. While many favor the Midwest or Northeast for their getaway, they should keep Cincinnati in the back of their mind for teir next trip; even in peak-season, the local nature areas and high elevations are underutilized. Travelers who set up downtown Cincinnati as their base camp will have ample opportunities to cap their trip with a romantic evening out at one of Cincinnati's fine restaurants.

The Celestial

Cincinnati's restaurant scene has gained little national attention, but if that ever changes it will most likely be due to The Celestial. The American fine dining restaurant with a French flair brings four-star aspirations and execution to Cincinnati. This is an event restaurant for romantic evenings and memories, so expect to pay $30 and up for an entree.

Nicola's Ristorante

Nicola's Ristorante, in Cincinnati's deluxe Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, is a great option for a romantic Italian even, with rich sauces and bottles of Cabernet. The restaurant owners, Nicola and Maureen Pietoso, along with chef Christian Pietoso, strive for excellence, which is why they received a Zagat rating as one of America's best restaurants.

Jean-Robert at Pigall's

Jean-Robert at Pigall's is another Cincinnati restaurant that strives for national rather than local recognition. French food is known for being unrelentingly traditional, but at Jean-Robert at Pigall's diners will find a playfulness on the plate; they may struggle to figure out just what they have been served, but they are bound to like it. Couples can end the romantic night right by sharing one of the restaurant's desserts.
